Nicotine Yellow - Properties

See the How To Use page for examples of Ageing. Please also refer to the translucency table which shows the density of dye in each spray. This image is indicative of the true colour. The shade and depth of colour varies depending on the item being sprayed and the amount of spray used.

Colour
Very light dirty Brown/Yellow colour. Looks just like the stain from cigarette smoke. When sprayed on white paper it makes it look just like parchment.
Density of Colour
Very light density.
Translucency
Very translucent.
Water Solubility
Very soluble in water
Best Uses
Costumes and props. Looks great on walls to give the effect of cigarette staining. The light shade works well as a highlight when used with the other darker brown colours.
Ease Of Use
Very easy to use due to the very low quantity of dye in the spray.
Extra Info.
Our second lightest colour spray. A light spray is only just visible. We made it like this so that a number of light coats can be used to build up a depth of colour. As with all the sprays, the more coats applied - the more intense the colour gets. We got the colour by matching the spray to sheets of absorbent paper stained with cigarette smoke.
